Specialist care, grown in the Pilbara.
Pilbara Hands grew from a simple idea: people living and working in regional WA should be able to access specialised hand therapy closer to home.
Established by Amanda after living and working across Tom Price and Karratha, Pilbara Hands provides specialised assessment and rehabilitation for hand and upper limb injuries and conditions.
Our care is evidence-based, practical and considers the whole person – their injury, work, family, culture and what matters to them.
Because living regionally shouldn’t mean compromising on specialised care.
Building capability in the Pilbara
As Pilbara Hands grows, we also aim to support and mentor clinicians to develop advanced hand therapy skills locally – contributing to a strong and sustainable specialist health workforce in the Pilbara.
Meet Amanda
Amanda is an Occupational Therapist and Accredited Hand Therapist with more than 15 years of clinical experience in hand and upper limb rehabilitation.
Her experience spans specialist hand therapy, hospital and fracture clinics, regional health services and private practice, with particular expertise in traumatic, post-surgical and work-related injuries.
Before specialising in hand therapy, Amanda worked in workplace health, safety and injury management across the mining and public sectors. This gives her a practical understanding of job demands and return to work, particularly for people in physically demanding roles.
Amanda is also an Approved Mentor with the Australian Hand Therapy Association and has supervised occupational therapists, students and developing hand therapists.
